Help finding father for Thomas Francis Donahue Sr. b.12/23/1909 Rhode Island

Question

I have run into a road block for my wife's GGF Thomas Francis Donahue Sr. b 12/23/1909 to Grace Hackett and UNKNOWN Donahue (most-likely out of wedlock). I show him living with his mother in her parents home in the 1910 US Census (Rhode Island).

I have tried to search on Ancestry at the LDS FHC before with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated!

Below is the death record of a Thomas Donaghue (Spelling)  who is married to a Grace Hockett.  So the spelling is different for both.

A second record is on the LDS site with the correct spelling of his name, but Grace's last name is still wrong.

He did die early.  Maybe someone can get access to the actual copy of the record to see if this might be his father.
