Did Snoke-30 have two wives or was one the wife of a brother also called Adam

Greetings Sharon - Data Doctor reports an error with respect to the wife of Adam Snoke [Snoke-30] – The error concerns an unknown person who is alleged to be his first wife Sophia [Unknown-14477]. When I compared Adam’s Snook’s information on Family Search id KCLD-5JV I found he had one wife, and her name encompassed the names of Sophia [Unknown-14477] and Maria Butterbaugh [Butterbaugh-167], which I believe to be incorrect. I then checked the sources on Family Search, where I noticed the names of Sophia and Maria were used as mothers of Snook children, coincidentally they both gave birth to children within the same time period which reinforced my conclusion that Family Search information was incorrect. What I can determine with sources is the fact that Adam Schnock married Maria Butterachin 1 April 1789 in Rocky Hill, Frederick, Maryland. 

Maria had the following children. 1. Johannes Schnock the son of Maria and Adam baptised 24 May 1790, Rocky Hill, Frederick, Maryland 2. Heinrich Snock was born 26 December 1799 in ?? Maryland 3. Susanna Schnogh was baptised 2 May 1802 in Ladiesburg, Frederick, Maryland. 

Sophia had the following children – 1. George Michal Schnook the son of Sophia was baptised 4 August 1799 in Creagestown, Frederick, Maryland. (note this profile clashes with Johannes above – Frederick Hill and Creagestown are 6 miles apart, one profile is a baptism the other a birth) 2. Susanna Schnock was baptised 23 May 1801 in Creagestown (note this profile clashes with Susanna above – Creagestown and Ladiesburg are less than 10 miles apart.) 3. Christina Magthlaena Snog was baptised 27 July 1817 in Creagestown. If she was Maria’s child Maria would have been 55 years old in 1817. 

In summary Sophia and Maria were not the same person. Adams Father Simon had two sons one called Adam the other John Adam, did Maria belong to one and Maria to the other? Any help in resolving this conundrum would be most welcome. happy hunting Paul Snook

I agree that the two Adams must be different people, as are Maria and Sophia.

Unfortunately I'm not able to be of much help otherwise. I haven't even been able to confirm whether the Snook I descend from, Elizabeth Snoke-41, is actually the daughter of Jacob as given in WikiTree.
