A few more suggestions.

Roots search will help you search for records. There’s a link on the right side of the profile.

You can add the Wikitree Sourcer browser extension. It will create citations for you and help you with writing the biography. Look for the App page under the find drop down menu.

You can also participate in the PIP voyage. It is a guided journey that will help you learn the basics. More info here:

You might want to start here: Help:Sources FAQ (wikitree.com)

A source is just a record showing where you found the information in a profile.  The easiest way to add sources is to simply create a list below the Sources/references heading.  There is a Wikitree Sources Style Guide Help:Sources Style Guide (wikitree.com) but as long as the citation is sufficient for someone else to find the record you'll be fine.  If you use FamilySearch most records there have a "copy citation" button that you can use and then just paste to the profile.

Sourcer extension generates source citations for supported sites, including FamilySearch, MyHeritage and Ancestry and a growing list of other sites.
 For unsupported sites there is a citation generator, in which you fill in the blanks on a form.
 There are other citation generators under "Find" then "Apps" at the top of a profile.

Using Sourcer you can generate a narrative with an inline citation to paste into the Bio section of a profile.
 Available from Chromestore or the equivalent for non-chromium browsers.

Your question states how to add a source, not how to write a source.

So the easiest way to add a source is to put the source between the two tags <ref> and </ref> when editing a profile.

Fact 1.<ref>Fact 1 source</ref>

Fact 2.<ref>Fact 2 source</ref>

etc.

==============================

Also, you need the tag: <references />

==============================

Also, every profile requires (as a standard) these three items (in this order):

== Biography ==

== Sources ==

<references />

==============================

Putting it all together you have:

== Biography ==

Fact 1.<ref>Fact 1 source</ref>

Fact 2.<ref>Fact 2 source</ref>

etc.

== Sources ==

<references />
