So often  the WT news has one's connections to 'famous' people that I've never heard of; I never heard of the movie Dune and only a couple of the stars.

 My guess is you not a sci-fi fan... The books have over 20 million sales and Dune 2 movie is this years biggest movie currently. The movies are 14th highest grossing sci-fi films of all time currently.

I'd never heard of him but Josh Brolin is my closest connection yet at 12 degrees. As is normal, he's not related but apparently his wife is my 5th cousin.  The  route goes through my mother.  if I eliminate my mother, the path through my  father is  again shorter than normal at 16 degrees (there's no known blood relationship between them but the vast majority of my known ancestors were born within 40km of each other).

Most people have seen him in the Goonies when he was young. He did such a good job playing President George W. Bush in W that people didn't realize it was him! He was also Thanos in the Avengers movies.
