He has been deceased for more than thirty years, so this privacy setting is likely unnecessary and indeed renders the addition of sources. The names of living persons less than a century old are always kept private.

There has been no activity on a very primitive report, and the page calls for further addition of data, yet the privacy level precludes this. I assume that the originator of this page sought, or the automatic program then in existence, established a high level of privacy that prevented the addition of further research, including the addition of sources.

What can be done?

The profile manager was active in February, so you can send her a private message to see if she is either willing to change the privacy setting or to add you to the trusted list so you can make changes. It is probably she who set the current privacy level. You might mention the WikiTree guidance on privacy which says that profiles of deceased people with no sensitive information or real privacy concerns should be open: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Privacy#Open

If you do not get a response within a reasonable length of time, I suggest you follow the guidance on unresponsive profile managers: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Unresponsive_Profile_Managers
