pars of Margaret Ellen Connor b. OR 1852, father b. KY, mother b. IA

Question

I am looking for the parents of Margaret Ellen Connor, documented in Early Oregonians Index, as b. 1852, m. Oscar Darnielle (1838-1909) 1866, d. 1908.  One record I found shows that her father was b. KY, mother IA.  But early Oregon archives do not show any Oregon marriages prior to that time.  So her parents must have been married elsewhere.

Names I have searched include Connor, O'Connor, Conner, O'Conner.

Searching the various years of Oregon Pioneers, I found several Connors and Conners, and one William O'Conner.  But no luck figuring out which one is her father.

Can anyone help with information from KY or IA, or know how to search records prior to 1852 for those areas?

Perhaps it will help to know that I found Daniel O Conner, b. KY, Joseph Kirk Conner, b. 1848 Ft Vancouver (an older brother?) Perry Conner, b. Ballston, Polk, OR (ditto?), J Conner, b. 1837, IA (her mother?), James Edward Conner, b. 1851-3-31, MO (an older brother, just before they left?).

Based on several census records...it is not clear where the father was born.

Found them!  Thank you very much, Robin!  I was able to tie Margaret Ellen Conner to John Robert Conner, born VA, moved to Iowa, married Catharine Davis.  With that, I found his parents, and tied into the whole tree and found ancestors back to Charlemagne!  Awesome.
