How do I merge a profile while I am creating a profile that was created by me earlier?

I created a Profile of a woman last week and today while creating a Profile I see that I already had this Profile as a wife to someone. But I looked on the page and couldn't find a place to Merge this Profile. I deleted the Profile before I saved it. The problem now is that I can't link 2 families together.

Wally, no need to create a second profile for the same person.

Mergers are initiated here: At the top of any page is the word Add, hover over it & click: Matches and Mergers.

At the top right of most WikiTree pages is the word: Help, hover over it and click Help Index, click on the letter M to quick scroll to Merging.

From the WikiTree Help Index = Click the letter C for Connections.

I inadvertently did the same thing...the quick answer is make sure you know the id's of both profiles, scroll down to the bottom of one of them click on the merge link fill in the second Id, make sure the info you want goes into the merged file then confirm. Make sure you clean up the bio as they can end up duplicated  after the merge.

If you've already entered both families in WikiTree and just need to connect the other family with this woman, you can do that -- see http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Editing_family_relationships.
