Is there a way to upload more than one ged tree and merge into already exsisting family tree?

When I first started genealogy research I signed up on mulitple genealogy sites each I had created a family tree on. For the sites that have the ability to download as ged file I would like to be able to upload and merge all of the trees into one tree to combine all of my research into one tree on one site.

In your particular situation, it would be better to download all your family trees into a genealogy software on your computer. Using the computer software, combine the duplicates there before you upload to WikiTree.

There are many free genealogy software programs you can use to achieve this mission. More questions about gedcoms at WikiTree ?

sure, a gedcom file is just a compact list of names, dates and relationships, etc.

uploading a gedcom here is done in multiple stages. Stage one is the compare stage. Your file is uploaded and compared with the existing profiles here to weed out the duplicates (a task presented for you to complete)

Second, after you've marked all the duplicates to skip, then your upload is send to the admins for final approval before actually adding to the main tree here.

You can upload as many as you like. Its usually recommended to start small anyway.

The first stage, is just a comparison stage. You can throw it away and redo it as many times as necessary

I understand that, but Now here is my question! WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU HAVE A GED COM WITH NAMES BORN BEFORE 1700, BUT YOU ALSO HAVE ALL THE SOURCES FOR THOSE NAMES????
Where does the commentary state that information is sent to the admins before being added?

I am not a stupid person, but this seems to be a complicated process to what should be rather simple things, download a small tree, verify that there are no duplicates already on the site, then the 'tree' is approved and added to the site.

I have spent more time just searching for answers than I have spent adding names to my tree.

I couldn't even find an explanation on the Compare Page for what I was supposed to be doing there.
