Edward Doddington, or Dodington, was a captain in the Irish wars c1600, Constable of Killybegs Castle, co. Donegal, Lieutenant of Dungiven Castle, co. Londonderry, and husband of a daughter of Tristram Beresford. Sir Edward Doddington died in 1618, and widow then married Sir Francis Cooke.
