Should the maiden name of Joanna, first wife of Eward Winn-92 be changed to Unknown?

Question

It has been suggested that Joanna's maiden name be changed from Sargent to Unknown. I have not been able to find sources to support the surname Sargent. Are there any objections?

I'd hesitate before deleting data which hasn't actually been proved incorrect. Can't you just mark it as unverified?

American Ancestors has three hits for Joanna Winn, none of them are her.

"The Winn Family of Wells Maine" by Joseph Anderson. The Maine Genealogist 2004, refers to he as just Joanna.

"Ancestry of Margaret Needham ..." Essex Genalogist 2000 refers to her as Joanna ???

The indexed IGI index lists no pertinent marriages for Edward Winn and a Joanna anything

The Ancestry Trees refer to her as - Joanna Jane Sargent (a sure sign that someone is trying to fit her into an erroneous family) - Joana Hatch or Sargent. I really like this one father = Richard Coeur DeLion Sargent

I don't see even a hint of why she should be called Sargent.

I wasn't able to find any source for her LNAB in any journal at AmericanAncestors,org  She is only identified as Joanna ??

As a note, Edwin's wife Anna (Babcock) Page/Wood/Winn  Babcock-1738 - also had no identifiable LNAB on American Ancestors and she should also probably be unknown.

The web site minerdescent, seems to be the main source for these bios, and if you look at Edwin Winn on the link, the only sources provided seem to be more internet family trees.

Was unable to find any appropriate source which reports a maiden name for Joanna.  Just to add to the list, in NEXUS she is Joanna _______.

Yes, her maiden name should be changed to "Unknown."

Her Last Name At Birth was just changed from Unknown to Sargent, and parents added, with no discussion before the change. Unless someone has found documentation for her maiden name, and her parents, I recommend that it be changed back to Unknown, the parents removed, and that this profile should be protected.

Another undocumented father, Robert Hugh Sargent-4282, has been added to Joanna's profile. Also an undocumented middle name, Jane, has been added. I recommend they both be removed. Is there a reason this profile hasn't been protected? (I can't find a message from Anne B on the subject, as she mentioned 5 June 2019.)

Probably an oversight on my part, she is now ppp. And I've removed the parent and middle name.
