I believe the essential info is:

Informant: Siegmund Jacobus

Death: Königsberg, Prussia, 1 Aug 1914

Decedent: Nathan Jacobus, age 70 5/12, born Zimpelberg, West Prussia, wife (of second marriage) Minna, born Peltzall. Parents unknown.

Religion: “mosaisch,” that is, Jewish.

Some of the text I am uncertain of.

Perhaps another WikiTree member can validate or, if necessary, corrrect this. I do not believe it gives Siegmund’s relationship.

excellent, just two additions

1. Zimpelberg should (could) be Zempelburg (indeed written Zimpelburg), now Sępólno Krajeńskie in Poland

2. he died at 9 pm
Thank you for the confirmation!
Hello, I am from Germany and I am new in this Group. Excuse my English.

That document was written in older german font way, named Sütterlin. Only old People can read it. Today I have translate the document in new German font way.

I can confirm the essentials written from George Fulten!

But If you want more Details from the whole document, please contakt me

Best Regards

Norbert Butters

Yes, Zempelberg is correct (my grandfather was born there and I believe Nathan to be his grandfather). They are actually from Zempolno (Sepolno) which is now in present day Sępólno Krajeńskie, Poland and was in West Prussia.

Does it say what he died from?

Nobert! I would really appreciate your help with this one. I have another image for this same person; it is typed and easier to read. I don't nkow if maybe they are the copy of each other or different forms. https://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Jacobus-Photos-213 Any help is much appreciated

Hey! He died from Meningitis with right-sided paralysis and lung infection.
Yes, I can confirm David's translation. Right behind it says "both diseases together within a few days" - which sound puzzling to me
