I'm looking at a source doc and I see on several entries where the word cemetery or graveyard should be, the word "callod." I think I've spelled it correctly. mid 17th century England. Anyone have an idea what this word might be?

The second entry I believe says:
"William Lanckford of the Parish of Rumbaldsweek died the first of the (11?)th month dated September 1665. Was Buried the next day, in that "callod?" [St.] Michael's Lytten In Pancras Parish without the east gate of this day of Chichester in the County of Sussex."
Also curious to know what a Lytten is:
The place today is now called Litten Park (Lytten).
