Hi

I'm looking for birth records for James King born circa 1746 in Suffolk, England I think.  He married Susannah Farrow in circa 1768 (again in Suffolk) and died circa 1831 (again in Suffolk).  Can anyone help?  I am trying to find his parents.

Many thanks

Hi Wayne

Thank you so much for replying.  I have their marriage details and the names of some of their children but would love what you have.  I haven't checked any nearby parishes but will do so.  As far as I know they are not Catholic.

Thank you SO much for your help.

Hi Ros

I have to admit I don't know much about English places or place names (born and raised in NZ) so thank you so much for giving me the alternate name to look under.

Many thanks

Do you have the names of any of his children?  These might give clues as to their grandparents' names, as naming patterns were often followed.  For instance, if the first son was named Richard, there's a fairly good chance that James King's father was called Richard, too. Odd names like Pentecoste or a grandmother's maiden name, used as a middle name...
