What in the world is Pecurah Hilliard's Maiden name?

More information is needed. Would you know her husband's full name? Time frame and location would help too. Do you know her birth year, marriage year and or death year? What country, county and or city did she live at time of her birth, marriage and or death?

Hello Joni,

Gurdin Hilliard 1771 (Alternative spelling Gurdon) is shown as her husband in Rootseweb but the only  actual evidence I have seen shows that Gurdin was in fact married to Diedamia Berge and they were married on the 1st January 1829 in Ohio. Gurdin was born 10 Feb 1771. Since his marriage to Diedamia Berge occurred when he was close to 60 it may well have been a 2nd marriage.

Oh Thank you, sorry it was my first post EVER on here. Her husband is GURDON Hilliard some other spellings are GORDON, GAURDIN and GURDIN. From Census Records I can tell she was born between 1775 and 1778 in either CT or Little Compton, RI. She died in 1835 but I can't find a grave, obituary, or any mention of her maiden name anywhere. In 1800-1830 census she was in Stonington, CT and in the 1830 her family moved to Ohio. Her sons were of course all Hilliards and her daughters married names are Wealthy Johnson, Sarah Patchen and again Sarah Stannard (Iowa) and Nancy Snell. I think maybe their obits might have their mom's maiden name.

I found "my son  Gurdon and his wife Pecurah Hilliard" mentioned in the Will of William Hilliard. https://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=hillard_family&id=I95 But here is again no other surname given.
