I just found out that Library and Archives Canada has a database of 44,090 Canadians who served in the armed forces and died either during the war or shortly thereafter:

Service Files of the Second World War - War Dead, 1939-1947

Did you add that to the Canadian Sources Space page?

You can google it! It is an awesome help... I found all my grandfathers records, and his cousins records there! It’s a bit of work to navigate but doable ...
Library and Archives Canada has a lot of great info. You need to learn how to navigate their web site but its full of gold!
No, Jelena, I haven't. I don't even know where to put it. There seems to be a lot of duplication, with free-space pages, categories, and pages that aren't free-space pages, aren't help pages, and aren't editable (at least not for me) all mixed together. I've been staying clear until the Categorization Project gets in there and cleans things up.
The link to LAC (Library and Archives Canada) is available here but not a link direct to this resource.

Since LAC has so many different collections it would be difficult to list them all but it might be good to list the most popular ones.
