Question

Hello all, I just completed for Actress Myrtle Lincoln Stedman.  If she fits into a project that you are using please help by adding categories.

Her father was a second cousin of Abraham Lincoln.

She has a Wikipedia profile.

I am also working on her husband and son. They were also actors in the early days of film.

It just seems too complicated to learn in the time I have.  I spend a lot of time on the research and writing profiles.  I really don't use the categories to track things and it seems that the people who use them should be able to do a better job.  For instance the notables link was put in and then someone said it should be done differently and a couple of different notes on which actor category they should put in.  I don't object to categories, that's why I suggested they may be useful on the profiles.  I just don't have time to add them and then make the corrections when I get it wrong.

I added the Inglewood Park Cemetery and Notables categories to her profile.

Thank you.  I don't use categories and don't know which ones are useful, but I thought this one might be of use.  Most of my profiles are of hard-working everyday folks.

That one seems to make sense.  I will let someone familiar with the category add it if it would be useful.  Her husband and son would also fit this category.  Thanks for your input.

Actually, you really never want to use the "Notables" category, but instead should use the Notables template or Notables sticker, either of which will automatically add the Notables category. I switched out the category for the sticker.

And I added the Actors category, but I see where someone suggested the American Actors category above. If someone wants to swap out Actors for American Actors, that would be fine.
