• Veit was born in Germany in 1695, the son of Valentine FIEDERLING (1665 Germany-1743 Germany) and Magdalena Diehr/Diehm (1670 Germany-1751). Veit’s parents were married on 20 May 1662 in Baden, Germany.

• His first name may be spelled VEIT; some records show his surname as FETTERLING and his Christening Record is listed as FIEDERLINGS.

• Veit married Anna Dorothea Oberderf in Germany on 10 February 1723. They immigrated to the United States with their children sometime after 1738, and settled in Pennsylvania, where both Veit and his wife Anna died. ^[1]
