When Robert Crawford Heath and his twin brother John James were born on July 13, 1881, in Atchison, Missouri, their father, Theophilus Berrian Heath, was 35, and their mother, Cynthia Arelia Steele Heath, was 28.
Robert graduated from Valentine's School of Telegraphy in Janesville, Wisconsin and became a member of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.
Robert was employed by the Minnesota, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad when he registered for the draft for WWI. At the time he and his wife, Elsa, were living in Kief, McHenry, North Dakota. He was the Agent and Telegraph Operator.
Robert was married three times and had two sons and one daughter.
HIs first wife was Elsa Georgiana Schlueter. They were married on September 7, 1910 in Morristown, Wisconsin.
Robert's third wife, Pearl L. Hopkins Johnson Heath, was the sister of his twin brother's wife, Ella Maude Hopkins Heath. Pearl and Robert were married on November 3, 1949. They were married in Harrisonville, Cass County, Missouri.
Robert died on January 10, 1969, in Clinton, Missouri, at the age of 87, and was buried there.
