Harry Lanckford (aka Langford or Longford) was born in Elstead, Surrey, England on June 12, 1563.[3]
On October 15, 1592, Harry Lanckford married Elizabeth Dawes, b. in 1573 in Huntingdonshire, England.[4] The couple moved 42 miles west to Abbots Ann, Hampshire, and had one son:
William Lanckford, b: March 24, 1598, Abbots Ann Parish, Hampshire, England. They then moved 8 miles south to Broughton.[5]
Harry Lanckford died in 1600, in Broughton Parish, Hampshire, England, when his son was still an infant. His wife survived him. She later moved to Staffordshire, England. She died there in 1653 at 79 years old. [4]
↑ Some say he was born in the neighboring village of Godalming, 5 miles away; that may be his christening location.
↑ 4.04.1 Some family genealogies have stated he died in 1594 but this is impossible as his son was born in March 1598. See: Henry Lanckford on rootsmagic.com for marriage date.

There is no evidence for any connection to the Longfords of Derbyshire. Sir Nicholas Longford and Elizabeth Okeover had no children, and no connection to Surrey.
