Joshua Piggott was born on 21 Feb 1765 in Cane Creek Alamance, North Carolina. His parents were Benjamin Piggott (1732 - 1818) and Mary Ruth (Hadley) Piggott (1739 - 1810).
Joshua and Sarah and family moved to Miami Monthly Meeting, Ohio in 1807, then on to Indiana Territory in 1809. In Indiana, they appear in White Water, Chester and Milford Meetings. On 30 Sep 1809, Sarah Pickett was chosen overseer and Joshua Pickett was noted "with other to propose some for Elders". The last record of Joshua and Sarah appears in the Milford Monthly Meeting on 22 Dec 1822 where they were received from Chester Monthly Meeting. Sarah Davis Piggott (Pickett)'s death does not appear in Indiana Quaker Abstracted Records.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joshua by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA test-takers in his direct paternal line.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Find A Grave memorial source directs to a different Joshua Piggott who was born much later. That person has a different DOB than this Joshua's son. May have been linked in error.
I researched and corrected this error. the death of Joshua Piggott was of the son of Benjamin and Ruth Davis Piggott of Cane Creek Monthly Meeting, NC. I have also sent a correction to the contributor of the findagrave memorial of the child Joshua Piggott who died in 1821 to link Joshua's memorial to his parents memorials. Joshua was a twin, born with Caleb, who was already linked to Benjamin and Ruth's findagrave memorials.
Pickett-139 and Piggott-86 appear to represent the same person because: Father's name is Piggott on one profile. Similarname, exact same spouse on both profiles with exact same marriage date. same birth date. same death date
