Biography
Henry Tenney was born on 1 June 1772 at Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay, Maine. His parents were Samuel Tenney and Elizabeth (Atwood) Tenney[1].
He married Mary Hayden on 8 May 1797 in Gray, Maine[2]. They had ten children[3]:
- 1. Anna, born 15 Aug 1799; married Elias Hayden
- 2. Thankful, born 22 Dec 1800
- 3. John, born 25 Dec 1801; married 1st Lydia Gooding, 2nd Rebecca Emery
- 4. David, born 22 Jan 1803; married Roxana Gilson
- 5. Samuel, born 26 Apr 1804; married Louisa Pierce
- 6. Sarah, born 28 Aug 1805
- 7. Henry, born 6 Sep 1807; died young
- 8. Mary, born 19 Jul 1809; married Samuel Simpson
- 9. Henry, born 19 Jul 1809
- 10. Keziah, born 18 Sep 1816; married Nathaniel Archibald
Henry passed away on 23 November 1853 in Raymond, Maine[4].
