Biography
Lucy (Treworgye) Stileman immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Lucy (Treworgye) Stileman was born in England.
Lucy's date of birth is uncertain. Based on the estimated date of her first marriage (about 1653), Lucy was probably born sometime in 1628-1635, with about 1632 being a reasonable best-guess estimate. Since her older brother John was baptized in Kingweare, Devonshire,[1] it is most likely that Lucy was born in or near Kingsweare. A review of the parish register of Kingsweare, Devonshire shows that the pages for baptisms in 1620-1654 are missing.
