Margaret was twice widowed. Her first husband, (her cousin) Taylor Berryhill, was according to family lore killed by a falling tree in Tennessee. Her second husband, James Lewis Rodden, died (also according to family lore) in Savannah, Georgia, during the Civil War. She was buried in Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. My grandmother, Reamer Neal Underwood bore a striking resemblance to Margaret, as did my Aunt Laura Neal Underwood and her daughter, Diane.
