Hi Robert, it was definitely Jenney and not Jennings -- the name Jenney goes way back, and includes a member of Parliament.

Henry Jenney who fought in the Revolutionary War (Jennings-4138) when he moved west with his family they changed their last name to Jennings. Was this a change back??????

I believe it is from this book. I have the book on the way to me so I will verify by the end of March 2016.
