William Harrison is not specifically stated to be a son of Thomas Harrison in any public or Bible record which is known to exist: but the accounts preserved in the family state him to be.[1]
William Harrison with Thomas Harrison and others obtained a grant of land in Stafford County in 1706. He was appointed a justice of Prince William County in 1731 and was vestryman of Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, in 1746. The index to the lost Stafford deed book 1729-1748 refers to the inventory of the estate of William Harrison, deceased, so he probably died in Stafford between 1746-1748.
The late Rev. Douglas Forrest D.D. stated that William Harrison married Sarah Hawley and had issue.

In 2019, someone changed the birth info on the profile for Anne Unknown attached as his mother from about 1680 to about 1670 to resolve the error, instead of changing parents. While I agree with the Harrison researchers who place this William as son of Burr, there isn't a reliable source for that relationship either.
Text from that page is accurately quoted, but appears to be in error... clicking the links for the names given as father and son - Burr Harrison II and Thomas Harrison III - arrives at Burr Harrison I with sons Thomas I & Burr II (Burr I married to "Frances (Mary) BURDETTE"). Clicking through to Burr II shows him with no children but married twice: "Family 1": Lettis (Greene) SMITH. MARRIAGE: 1692, Stafford Co., VA [S24] & "Family 2": Mary MANSBRIDGE. MARRIAGE: 1708, Stafford Co., VA [S24]
Burr Harrison I has four children listed at https://freepages.rootsweb.com/%7Eharrisonrep/genealogy/Harrison/d0021/g0000026.html#I1304 - Thomas I, William, Burr II, and Sybil. The link for William goes to https://freepages.rootsweb.com/%7Eharrisonrep/genealogy/Harrison/d0073/g0000056.html#I10542 & shows no dates for "Capt. William Harrison" but has him as a resident of Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co. VA, son of Burr HARRISON I & Frances (Mary) BURDETTE, and husband of Sarah HAWLEY & father of William Harrison.
That son William (of William, son of Burr) died 1 Dec 1745 according to his entry at https://freepages.rootsweb.com/~harrisonrep/genealogy/Harrison/d0071/g0000056.html#I10540 that also has his wife as Isabella TRIPLETT (married 1732, Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co. VA) and four children.
Going back to the quote & the link for Thomas III that goes to Thomas I... his entry - https://freepages.rootsweb.com/%7Eharrisonrep/genealogy/Harrison/d0022/g0000026.html#I1305 - has no son William listed except in the notes...
Thank You, Cheryl
