Biography

C. 1612, possibly in Stepney, England as this is where his "certificate of conformity" was issued.

Died 20 November 1642. in Massachusetts, in Woburn.[1]

James and Judith both appear to have travelled to New England on the Planter[2]. James is described as one of four "servants" to Nicholas Davis as was his future wife, Judith. His profession later changed to "tailor".

Prior duplicate profiles suggested James and Judith married on board ship but others (unsourced) imply they married in 1636 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, on 22 March 1636. According to Anderson, Charlestown was James's first place of residence. He also lived in Woburn.

Thanks Beryl, I do want to point out that what you're looking at are not the "original" handwritten records. They are instead an 1856 transcription of the original. https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/2495/40902_263989__0003-00076.
