William Avery, Jr. was baptized on 27 October 1647 in Barkham, Berkshire, England and his parents were Margaret (Allright, 1624-1678) and Dr. William Avery, Sr. (1622-1687). [1]
About 1650 their family emigrated from England to America and settled at Dedham, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [2]
William Avery, Jr. first married on 21 September 1673 to Mary Lane, eldest daughter of Sarah and Job Lane of Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay. She died on 11 October 1681 in Dedham, Massachusetts. [3]
William Avery, Jr. married secondly on 29 Aug 1682 to Elizabeth White who died on 03 Oct 1690 in Dedham, Massachusetts. [3]
William Avery, Jr. married thirdly on 25 August 1698 in Massachusetts to Mehitable (Hinckley) Worden. [3][4][5]
Deacon William Avery, Jr. died on 15 Dec 1708 in Dedham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts and was buried at the Dedham Cemetery. [3]

Katherine, I suspect that the marriage is correct. I think nature just had its way with two young colonials. Note that (Deacon) William Avery was born nine months later! It wouldn't have been a shotgun wedding - but a blunderbus, perhaps. And, sometimes, people just had to grow up faster. Life expectancy was much shorter for many. They may have just been ready for a life together. It may not have been a great choice, however, She married again in 1682 and William was still very much alive!
I question his having married Hannah Avery when he and she were only 14 and 15. I think he was confused with William Averill. If you agree, please remove him as the Hannah's spouse.
