Biografi

Biography

Gauthildr Algautsdóttir (Swedish: Göthild Algotsdotter) (7th century) was, according to the Heimskringla, the daughter of the Geatish king Algaut and the wife of Ingjald Ill-ruler, a semi-legendary king of Sweden. She was the mother of Olof Trätälja, the last Yngling ruler of Sweden and Åsa who married Gudröd, a legendary king of Skåne. [2][3]

Ynglingasaga

According to the Ynglinga Saga Gauthild was daughter of Algaut, son of Gautrek the Mild who was son of Gaut. She married Ingjald the Bad. [4]

She was mother of Aasa and Olaf. [5]

Gauthild's mother was Alov daughter of Olaf the Sharp-sighted, king in Nerike. [6]

Algautsdottir-3 and Ålovsdatter-1 appear to represent the same person because: There's only one Gauthild in the source, daughter of Algaut, wife of Ingjald the Bad. Please merge.

Ålovsdatter-1 and Algautsdatter-2 appear to represent the same person because: Please do not postpone this merge on the grounds that it needs pre-1500 certification. Alovsdatter was wrongly named. Her mother was Alov, her FATHER was Algaut.

Ålovsdatter-1 and Algautsdatter-2 are not ready to be merged because: This merge requires Pre-1500 certification.

Göthild Algotsdotter is, according to Ynglingasagan, a wife of Ingjald Illraad. They have two children: Olof and Åsa. Her father is Algot Götreksson, one of the twelve little kings killed by Ingjald Illråder. Her mother was Alöf who, in turn, was the daughter of Olof, the sharp-eyed king of Narke. Göthild sends Olof to his foster father Bove in Västergötland, where he grows up.

Ålovsdatter-1 and Algautsdatter-2 appear to represent the same person because: Alovsdatter is mis-named (Alov was her mother, Algaut her father). They have the same father. To check go to father and run the descendant list. Please merge ignoring date discrepancies

should LNAB be Algautsdottir or similar?

Algautsdottir-5 and Algautsdottir-3 appear to represent the same person because: Gauthild Algautsdottir was the wife of Ingjald illråde (Evil heart), king of Svitjod, as told by Snorre Sturlason.
