Biography

The last child of Edward Doty II and Sarah Faunce. Benjamin was a farmer and tanner by trade. His farm was called "The Doty Farm". The farm was situated 3 miles from the village of Saybrook. This farm was in the Doty family for at least 3 generations. He had at least 10 children with his wife Hester: Hester, Ann, William, Edward, Sarah, Temperance, Benjamin, Martha, Mercy and Benjamin.
