Ensign/Insign Hough was born 1 Sep 1746 Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut. His parents were Daniel Hough and Violet ^[1]

He was a doctor and hotel keeper in Meriden.

On 27 Apr 1767 he married (1) Chloe YALE^[2], b 20 Oct 1745, daughter of Moses / Mofesal Yale (10 JUL 1705 - 11 Sep 1748) of Wallingford, Connecticut and his second wife Mary Clark. Chloe died Jun 24 1771 and is buried in Broad St Cemetery, Meriden / Marlborough, Connecticut ^[3][4]
