Biography

Mary Lane was born at Gloucester, Massachusetts, on 8 Aug 1696, the daughter of John Lane and Dorcas Wallis.^[1][2]

She married, as her first husband, at Gloucester on 6 Dec 1716 Thomas Finson.^[3] Following his death in 1724, she married, as her second husband, Joseph Thurston.

She married (2) Joseph Thurston 09 March 1725 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts.^[3] He was born 23 January 1699 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, and died 04 June 1780 in Gloucester.^[4]

Thomas Finson and Mary Lane had four children at Gloucester:^[5][6]

2. Thomas Finson, b. 16 Jul 1720; m. Sarah Escot.
3. Ambrose Finson, b. 15 Feb 1723; m. Bethia Davis.

Thurston, Mary (Lane), wid. Joseph, died July ––, 1792 in Gloucester.^[9] She is buried in the Rowley Burial Ground in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts, with her second husband.^[10]
