Christopher was left little by his brother's will because he had already cost him too much. He was second cousin to Charles, Second Baron of Parham. Second cousin to Peregrine Bertie, 12th Baron W. de Eresby. He was of Chiddingstone, co. Kent. Records show he was buried 6 Jun 1623.[citation needed] His eldest son was William who was brought up in close relationship to Francis Willoughby also born in 1588 to Sir Percival.[citation needed] Some of the artifacts of the family in New England were thought to be derived from this association, e.g. the christening blanket from the queen.
