Biography

1776 Project
Job Bunnell served with 16th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Job, son of Gershom and Margaret, was born 15 Jan 1750/1 in Connecticut[1]

Job Bunnell married Rachel Bradley 10 Sep 1772, in Newtown, Connecticut.[2]

Job is listed as a soldier of the Revolution on the bronzed memorial plaque at Newtown.[3]

He was enumerated as a head of household in the first US Census 1790.[4] Job Bunnel, Brookfield, Fairfield, Connecticut

Deacon Job Bunnel died in Colesville, New York,[1] May 11, 1827 aged 75, and is buried at the Coles Hill Cemetery in Broome County.[5]

  5. Rebecca b 5 May 1781; d 31 Dec 1851; m. 16 Jan 1803 Amasa S. Bird.[1]

  7. Ludima b. 27 May 1786[1]

  9. Rachel b. 20 Sept 1794; d 6 Feb 1809.[1] Her stone in the Coles Hill Cemetery reads "In Memory of Rachel Bunnel Daughter of Dea. Jobe Bunnel Died Feb 6 1809 Aged 14 Y & 8 M"[7]
