Samuel Snow was the 11th child and 6th son of Nicholas Snow and his wife, "Mayflower" passenger, Constance Hopkins Snow. He was born in about May, 1647, after the Snow family moved from Plymouth to the new Cape Cod town of Eastham, where Nicholas was Town Clerk and road surveyor. Samuel should not to be confused with other Samuel Snows born in Massachusetts in 1647, notably a Samuel Snow, son of Richard and Avis Snow of Woburn MA.
Little Samuel only lived for five and a half years; he died on January 18, 1653, according to most sources, although some say January 18, 1654 (the old calendar gave January - March dates with two years as the New Year began in March at that time). He was buried in an unmarked grave in the Old Cove cemetery at Eastham, Massachusetts.[1]
