Biography

Jane Arbuthnot, the daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser, was born in 1816. She was the twin of her sister Anne.

She married George Stephens Gough 2nd Viscount Gough (son of Hugh Gough, 1st Viscount Gough and Frances Maria Stephens) on 3 June 1846 in London, England.^[1]

The couple had five children. By her marriage, Jane was styled as Viscountess Gough of Goojerat on 2 March 1869.

Jane (née Arbuthnot) Gough died in 1892 at St Helen's, Booterstown, Ireland. ^{[2] [3][4]}

She was buried at St Brigids Stillorgan, Stillorgan, County Dublin, Ireland.^[5]
