Mary Dana, daughter of Samuel and Mary Dana, was born 24 Mar 1733/4 in Pomfret, Connecticut. [1]
Mary Tucker was named as one of the "beloved daughters" of Samuel Dana in his 1768 will. [2]
Mary Dana and Joseph Tucker, both of Milton, had been married in Milton, Massachusetts, 4 Jun 1754. Her parents, Samuel Dana and Mary Sumner were married in Milton 23 years previously, and judging from the fact that Mary was considered a resident of that town, she was probably staying with Sumner relatives who remained in Milton.[3]
Mary and Joseph remained in Milton, where she died 7 Oct 1792 (aged 58) and was buried in the Milton Cemetery.[3][4] Joseph predeceased her in 1789. [3] Milton became part of Norfolk County in 1793 a year after her death.
