The records for the Breedens in Sevier Co, Tenn. and Roane Co., Tenn. are getting co-mingled. Many misleading charts on the internet.
John Breeden (1794-1859), this profile. Lived in Sevier County, Tenn and died there. Not known to have spent time in Missouri. He married someone named Nancy, but their marriage record does not appear to have survived. Living in Sevier Co in 1840, 1850. Dead by 1859.
John Breeden (abt.1798-aft.1880). Lived in Roane County, Tennessee, married 2x there, then moved to Missouri. This family is discussed in Everett King's book, History of Maries County, Missouri. Marriage to Nancy Frost and possible burial at Vaughn Cemetery in Missouri belong to this man. Nancy Frost was likely dead by 1822, when John remarries. ↑ 1860 Mortality Schedule of deaths from June 1, 1859 to June 1 1860. He died in October 1859 at the age of 68. He was born in Tennessee and was a farmer. He had been sick for 3 years.
The 1860 Mortality Schedule was taken along with the census for Persons who died starting June 1, 1859 and ending May 31, 1860. Position within the schedule corresponds only to the route surveyed as they were not listed in any other order. It listed age at death, sex, race, marital status, where born, month of death, occupation, cause of death, and how long they were sick. Line 1 reads;
1. John Breeden, 68, male, white, married, TN. Oct., farmer, unknown, 3 years.
Meaning that he was 68 when he died and born in TN, that he died in October 1859 of unknown causes and had been in failing health for 3 years. The age is probably in error, as it would make his birthdate before October 1791 and other records have him born on 23 Nov.1794, which would have made him 64 years and 11 months. in October 1859.
