Biography

James Dunham was born at Plympton, Massachusetts, 12 Sep 1758, ^{[1] [2]} the son of Cornelius Dunham and Patience Barrow;

He died at Carmel, Maine, 16 Aug 1827, Æ 61 (sic; gravestone, Village Cemetery);

m (1) at Plympton, Massachusetts, 19 Oct 1780, Elizabeth Robbins, b. 17 June 1758 probably at Middleborough, Massachusetts, the daughter of Samuel Robbins and Sarah House; She died at Carmel, Maine, 11 Jun 1820, Æ 70y (g.s.);

m (2) 16 Jan 1825, Mrs. Ruth Miller of Sebec, Maine.

John (a probable typo in Maine Families in 1790) was a Revolutionary soldier (MS&S 5:43); his estate administered 1830 (Penobscot Co. Probate 4:143; Penobscot Co deeds 67:311-312). ^[3]
