Biography

Anna Hough daughter of William Hough II and Ann Lothrop/Lathrop was born at New London, Connecticut 23 Dec 1683^[1].

On 16 Dec 1708 in New London Ann married THOMAS WILLEY^[2] son of ABRAHAM WILLEY and ELIZABETH MORTIMER. He was born 2 June 1676 in New London, Connecticut, and died in Colchester, New London Connecticut.

Note: There is a disagreement on the place and date of death of Thomas Willey. Many (dozens) of trees on Ancestry show his death as 10 Aug 1760 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania but the only source is a Quaker record for a person with the same name. Quakers did not settle in Connecticut. The Thomas Willey that died in Bucks county had a wife named Rebecca and was born in 1695 in Maryland^[3]. Therefore it cannot be the same Thomas Willey that married Ann Hough.

No death record has been recovered for Ann (Hough) Willey.
