Biography

Jane (Litton) Luther was born in Ireland.

Jane was born in about 1831. She was the daughter of Daniel Litton^[1] and Jane Minchin^[2].

At the age of about 30 Jane married Reverend John Fitzmaurice Luther on 2 March 1861^[3]:

At St Peter’s Church, Dublin, by the Rev Edward Gabbett, the Rev John Fitzmaurice Luther, to Jane daughter of Daniel Litton, Esq. of No 9 Waterloo-road. Dublin.^[4]

They went on to have at least five children.

Ireland Census Event Date 1901: Recorded as a visitor in the household of Mary G Robinson in Herbert Place, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. Also in the household was her 73 year old spinster sister Charlotte Esther Litton. Jane was aged 69.
