Biography

Gilbert Curtis Reed was born 05 March 1842, Vigo County, Indiana. He is a son of James Reed and Mary Thomas. ^[1]

During the Civil War, Gilbert served in Captain Joseph Williams' Company of the 75th Illinois Regiment. ^[1]

He married Rhoda Clark, 05 March 1871. ^[1]

Gilbert passed away 27 May 1934, Ashton, Lee County, Illinois. He is buried in the Washington Grove Cemetery, Chana, Ogle County, Illinois. ^[2]
