Biography

Basile Leblanc was born on October 15, 1727 in Port-Royal, Acadie. His parents were Joseph Leblanc and Marguerite Bourgeois. [1]

Basile LeBlanc and Marie Anne Richard were married on November 27, 1752, in Port Royal.[2] They had three children, one born in Annapolis Royal, and the other two probably in Connecticut.

Basile and Anne were deported to Connecticut (there in 1755) and then found in Massachusetts. At least one of their two children was born in exile.[3]She died in Massachusetts on August 29, 1756[4]

He married Marie Landry after August 1756. Together they had seven children:[5] At least one was born in Boston, and the last five were born in Québec.

He died on May 10, 1801 in L'Assomption, Quebec at age 74.[6]
