The first Federal Population Census was taken in 1790, and has been taken every ten years since. However, data from recent censuses are not available after 1940 because of a 72-year restriction on access to the Census. The last census was released April 2012 for 1940
Thank you for the good work you have been doing on profiles here.
I see that you just changed the LNAB (Last Name At Birth) of Ruth Kilbury from Unknown to Johnson-adoptive.
WikiTree has no way to track adoptive parents right now, but there is often discussion about this in G2G (that's the question forum here). Because genealogy is about bloodline ancestors, the LNAB is supposed to be used only for the LNAB of the person's birth parent. The only way to indicate adoptions is to mention the names of the adoptive parents in the biography. If you don't know a person's LNAB then Unknown is the approved way to enter them.
Please let me know if there is any way I can be of help. Thank you and Welcome to WikiTree.
Almost finished. You can either grant the trusted list request or fix the last kid that is connected to the wrong parent. I will remove myself from the list after I have fixed everything.
If you delete all the GedCom stuff and write a narative bio and then go to FamilySeach for the census data, you can add the references to every member of the family and it is much clearer.
There is a youtube video on merges if you are interested. The most important thing is take your time and click compare to check every time.
Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

Hi, I know very little about the Kilbury side beyond my paternal grandparents. I know a good deal about my maternal great grandparents on the Buchheit/Fullerton side. However, I am willing to volunteer and a cousin of mine has a HUGE Buchheit history website she maintains so I can help there. The Leeper side is connected to the Buchheits as my great grandmother's maiden name was Leeper (mother Jennie) and became a Rimer's in the late 1800's. Fullerton I don't know anything besides my great grandparents name Jenny and John and their children. Kilbury and Samuelson on my paternal side is an enigma. Hope to connect to cousins. (Aren't we ALL cousins?)

Wow! I've learned so much about my family since that previous post over a year and 1/2 ago! My Tree has expanded by leaps and bounds and every time I solve a mystery it's like opening a Christmas present. I am hoping to get my cousins from all the branches to join in and make it a BIG tree. I can't seem to find anything beyond the mid century of 1700's when my Kilbury GGGGG and Fullerton GGGGG emigrated to the US. Both grandfathers fought in the Revolutionary War....on opposite sides! Any help of how to go about that would be appreciated SO MUCH!
