Biography
Wiinifred was born about 1752 in Halifax County, North Carolina the daughter of James Huckaby and Celia Sealey Williams. Winifred passed away in 1831.
In Rowland's book on James Huckaby Family, he states that Allama Alamathus Ivey married Winifred Huckaby, ( daughter of James Huckaby. )
Winifred Huckaby became the source of confusion for a few researches who thought that Winifred Ivey, ( wife of Lott Ivey ) was Winifred Huckaby the daughter of James Huckaby. THE FAMILY OF LOTT IVEY LIVED IN 1802 IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, GEORGIA AND THE FAMILY OF ALLAMA ALAMATHUS IVEY LIVED IN WILKES COUNTY, GEORGIA.
