This is Donny Howard, writing from my wife's account. She was adopted, and we found that her birth father was a Hickey from Indiana. Records have shown that her great-grandfather was born in Nashville, TN, while his father, the immigrant from Ireland, worked here as a stone mason. They most likely passed through East Tennessee, where your folks seem to have lived some. Love to hear back from you. Good luck. Wikitree is a lot of fun
My daddy passed away in 2003 of Lou Gehrig’s . As of right now, all the grandfathers back on my Hickey side that I know of were born in Tennessee. I’m at a brick wall with my great great grandfather Isaac Hickey…. Very little (right) information on him …

Isaac and Margaret had one child RUFUS ELLISON Hickey ,born around 1840 in Grainger Co.,Tennessee . He married Eva Emiline Warren, daughter of Frank Warren . RUFUS and Eva had 11 children: Alpha Hughe Margaret Paul Silas Samuel Luther Goldie May Johnny Daniel plus 4 others . My grandfather was Samuel Luther Hickey , born in 1910 in Grainger Co., Tennessee ! He married waverly Juanita Lockie Bell Turner ,born 1916 in Knox Co., Tennessee. Lockie was the daughter of Thomas Marshal And Sarah Alice (Ray) Turner .
Samuel and Lockie had 4 children: Helen Beatrice Samuel Andrew John Thomas Private Thanks, Debra Hickey
