Biography
Leonice LeBlanc was the daughter of Anselme LeBlanc and Marie Anne d'Entremont.[1] She was born November 12, 1835[2] in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia[3][4], and was baptised November 8, 1836 at St. Michael's[2] in Tusket Wedge.[4] She grew up in the family home located along the central stretch of the Main Road in Tusket Wedge.[3][4] She married Jean Baptiste Pothier, the son of Seraphin Pothier and Monique Duon, on November 4, 1856 at St. Michael's[5] in Tusket Wedge.[4] The couple settled into the home her huband had built on the Main Rd in Tusket Wedge[3] where they raised their family of 11 children [6]:
