Daniel Judd Sr. was born in Connecticut.

Daniel, the fifth son and youngest of nine children of Jonathan Judd and Hannah Diggins was born on 10 October 1724 at Middletown, Connecticut.^[1]

Daniel Judd Sr. served in the Connecticut Infantry from Colchester achieving the rank of Lieutenant.^[2]

Daniel married Lydia Jones, the daughter of Isaac and Hannah (Wells) Jones on 14 March 1751 at Colchester, Connecticut.^[3]Daniel and Lydia had ten children born at Colchester, Connecticut:
