16 THE DWELLINGS OF BOXFORD. "... A house was built on the same site as the present residence of Mr. Hum- phrey Perley, probably by Josiah Bridges, a blacksmith, as early as 1710 and perhaps earlier. He was son of Edmund Bridges, the immigrant from England, and was born about 1650. He married, first, Elizabeth Norton, and second, Ruth Greenslip, in Ipswich, where he at first lived, removing to Boxford just before 1680. For £50 he sold his homestead, consisting of ten acres of land (the same now included in the homestead) and dwelling house, barn, shop, well, etc., to Cornelius Balch of Boxford in 1713, and removed to Wenham. In the later probate record his name is given as Greenslett. Probate Records of Essex County Vol. III, III:121; Estate of Thomas Greenslett.
Nothing found for Greenslip if that was the thought behind yor comment.

Greenslade is used by Torrey, but Greenslip is used in the vital records for her marriage.
Should be used as name at birth unless you have documentation for her birth and marriage as Greenslade?
