WEDDING REPORT. On Monday last our little church was crowded to witness the marriage of Mr. Frederick Brockman, to Miss Grace Bussell, a daughter of Mr. A. P. Bussell, of the Margaret river. The church was very tastefully decorated with flowers for the occasion, by our esteemed clergyman's wife. After the ceremony, between 20 and 30 persons sat down to the wedding break- fast, at the Ship Hotel, and a ball was given in the evening at the Weld Institute, in honor of the occasion, at which about 40 were present.

DEATH REPORT. Last evening a message from Perth stated: —The death occurred early this morning of Mr. Frederick SIade Drake Brockman, Surveyor General, after an illness extending over four weeks, an attack of pleurisy, followed by pneumonia and subsequent complications. Mr. Brockman, who was born at Northam, was in his 61st year. He entered the Government service as a surveyor in 1886, and during 31 years' service he traversed practically the whole of the State, carrying out some valuable exploration work. He leaves seven children, including Lady Hackett, the widow of the late Sir Winthrop Hackett. There are four sons, three of whom are serving at the front, and each has won distinction on the battlefield.
