OBITUARY. LIFETIME IN STATE. Mr. H. Brockman Dies Aged 92. YORK, June 21: The death of one of York's oldest and most respected citizens. Mr. Harold Brockman, occurred at his home yesterday. He was aged 92.
A descendant of a well-known pioneering family, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Ralph Brockman and was born at St. Auburn, Toodyay.
During his long lifetime he was associated in many organisations throughout the State. He came to York about 35 years ago and for a period was a land inspector. He was secretary of the York Agricultural Society for a number of years and was always keenly interested in the growing of pastures. At one stage he controlled an experimental plot for the benefit and information of farmers. He had a retentive memory and in his later years was able to recount many interesting stories of the early days of the State.
His wife died some years ago and he leaves a grown-up family of sons and daughters.
